Cost of Healthcare in Ontario, Canada
Obtaining International student medical insurance is one of the most important tasks parents of international students must do when preparing their son or daughter to study abroad. Low cost International student medical insurance is not always the best, nor is it a good idea to buy insurance in your homeland before you come to Ontario, Canada. This can result in unexpected medical expenses not being fully covered.
The cost of hospitalization in Ontario, Canada for just one night can be as high as $3,000, plus doctor’s fees and other medical expenses. So buying student medical insurance that saves you $100 or $200 can end up costing much more if it does not provide adequate coverage.
